This weekend our little girl turned 9, I know its a cliché but where did those years go? It seems like only yesterday that we were bringing her home from hospital to meet her big brother for the first time. That special moment when we became a family of four seems like it was only yesterday, but on the other hand seems like we have been a foursome forever.
We celebrated Ruby’s 9th Birthday with a weekend away at Filey in a caravan on the Primrose Valley Haven site, We all love it there and have visited lots of times before.
We started the day with an early wake up call from the seagulls who seemed to be having there very own party on the top of our caravan from 5 am, Ruby had asked for a bike for her Birthday this year but knew we would fit it in the car so let her have it as an early present before we set off for the caravan. She enjoyed opening her presents and cards from the rest of the family before getting ready to enjoy the day.
Although a little chilly we enjoyed a long walk along the beach and a lovely lunch at the pub before setting off back to get the kids ready for the pool party. They both enjoyed playing in the pool and enjoying the slides and inflatables.
All dried off and dressed and it was time for a freakshake as promised. If you’ve never had one it’s definitely a must. It’s basically a very posh milkshake with lots of topping’s
A play at the park and back to the caravan to get ready for the evening entertainment at the live lounge. Ruby was invited on stage by the entertainment team for everyone to sing happy birthday. Although sometimes a little nervous in these sorts of situations she enjoyed the attention and was beaming with delight as everyone sang to her.
After a very busy day with lots of fresh air we were all shattered and ready to relax for the evening. So after a few goes on the slot machines in the arcade it was back to the caravan for a slice of Millies cookie birthday cake and into our pajamas.
Ruby had a fantastic time celebrating her birthday and cant wait to get out on her bike next week.
Until next time
