So its the weekend Ladies and Gents and we all like a little tipple or two to help us relax and unwind after a busy week rushing around after the kids cooking cleaning working. So I thought I would share with you my drinks trolley charity shop find.
Can I just start by saying this drinks trolley was an absolute fantastic find after seeing it through the charity shop window on my way home from work. I nearly hugged the shop assistant when she said it was only £10. I have been on the look out for one of these for months and couldnt believe my look when I spotted it. I have searched the internet, charity shops and online stores but there was nothing. I couldn’t justify paying £300 plus for the one I had seen online. So when I spotted this little beauty I was a tad excited to say the least.
Its is a 2 tier golden vintage style trolley with the top tier has a removable tray and I just adore it.
Now I have the trolley its time to have some fun stocking it with my favourite drinks and pretty glasses.
If you have your own drinks trolley but not sure what to include on it or simply want to create a mini version with a fancy tray here are a few ideas of what you could include but the possibilities are endless.
- Your favourite spirits/ drinks of course, what would a drinks trolley be without alcohol. I’m currently on the look out for sophisticated and stylish bottles and a few of the fantastic ones we saw whilst at the Gin festival are defintely on my wish list. Pinksters, Beckett’s, Masons they all have such fantastic bottles and would look great.
- A selection pretty glasses
I have cocktail glasses champagne flutes and also some Babycham glasses my mum has been so kind to give me but I’m a little scared to actually use as she tells me they are 50 plus years old. They may just have to look charming on my trolley rather than actually use them.
- Fancy napkins
- Cocktail shaker
- Decanter set
- Bar tools – stirrer/ bottle opener
- Ice bucket
- Paper straws
- Art / light box
I cant wait to get the bar stocked and get the girls over for our very own ‘Happy hour’
Have great fun creating your own mini bar big or small and I look forward to hearing about them.
Please share your own little creations
Have a great weekend and of course…. Cheers !!!
Until next time
