Slow cooker lamb curry

Autumn to me is about cooking hearty healthy meals so when I spotted this lamb recipe in the Lidl magazine I knew it was something we would love. I didn’t quite cook it to the recommendations of the magazine but the quantities are the same.

serves 6

4 lamb steaks chopped iinto cubes

3 onions peeled and chopped

2 tbsp sunflower oil

4 cloves of garlic

4 chillies de seeded and sliced (I used 2 because the kids don’t like it hot)

40g fresh ginger peeled and grated

40g tikka curry paste

150g red lentils

4 large tomatoes roughly chopped /or tinof chopped tomatoes

15g fresh chopped coriander

400ml water

1. Mix the lamb with tikka paste and set aside

2. Add the oil to a pan and fry fry the onions, garlic, chilli and ginger until soft.

3. Add the lamb and brown the meat.

4. Add the tomatoes, lentils, water and  stir.  Transfer to slow cooker for 2 1/2 hours on high or 4- 6 hours on low.

Hope you enjoy making this yummy hearty curry full of healthy seasonal ingredients.

Until next time

Is there any animal that you can say it taste like? Just to get an idea. I’ve always been curious because my best friend growing up was Greek and her family made lamb gyros a lot and they always looked and smelled amazing, I just never gave it a try.

I think you would have to tree it yourself very nice though.
