Anyone who knows me will appreciate how much I loved visiting the Sheffield Food Festival this weekend. I am a serious foodie and eat (obviously) breath and sleep food. Food for me is a major part of my life, I love to eat but also I love to cook, feed and enjoying the atmosphere food brings. A big family meal round the table chatting about our day, a meal out with friends at a restaurant or simply the everyday routine of our family meal times.
So when my husband suggested for us to have a visit to the festival I couldn’t wait.
The Sheffield Food Festival, back for its seventh year with more and more joining every year, with entertainment, stalls and food demonstrations there is literally something for everyone, pop up tents from well known eateries of the city to stalls selling local produce to delicious street food.
I was in food heaven as we walked round all the stalls and sampling the yummy food on offer whilst also enjoying a few Gins along the way *could this day get any better* my two favourite things under one roof well at the same venue.
The Sheffield Food Festival is spread in and around Sheffield, from the Peace gardens, Winter gardens, Millennium square, Town hall square and Fargate.
With family activities on offer to keep the whole family entertained, with a pop up farm with baby lambs and ducks, and colouring and activity tables to keep the little one happy.
It was our first time visiting the Festival but after a very positive experience we will definitely be back next year. It was lovely to enjoy the sunshine yummy food and a couple of drinks along the way while the kids where entertained too.The food festival really showcased what a great city Sheffield is and what great food and drink it has to offer.
until next time
