Recently I was sent The Mindset workbook an 18 page e-book by Lucy Locket a Master Trainer, Exercise Specialist and Nutrition Coach from Sheffield.
The 18 page guide will help to get you in the right mindset to a healthier and fitter lifestyle. I myself have had and still have a constant battle with my love of food and not really enjoying exercise, I have been on a constant diet for most of my adult life without really ever getting to where I want to be with my weight and fitness. Yes I’ve lost and gained weight over the years but never sustaining it for very long or getting to a comfortable place where I want to be. I’m not massively overweight but still would ideally like to be maybe a stone lighter and toned, whilst also having a better overall fitness.
This workbook will help you realise what you really need to do to get to grips with your weight and fitness, focusing on what we actually need to change and that’s not just what we put in my mouth, although that would help. It’s much deeper than that, its what goes off in our mind the way we think about food and exercise.
We focus a lot of out attention on what we eat and the physical side of our diet and exercise way too much, jumping on and off the scales, doing fad diet in the last ditch attempt at losing those extra pounds before a holiday or big celebration when really its our mindset we need to change.
The workbook is designed to be used along side a diary to document and complete the different sections. From nutrition principles to follow to mindset and motivation exercises to complete, the guide will help you realise what you really want to accomplish with advise on how to reach your goals. Changing your mindset is one of the most important things we can do when trying to lose weight and become fitter and healthier. The guide breaks our goals into more manageable bite size chunks instead of overwhelming ourselves with too much information in one go.
The guide is great for anyone who is trying to become fitter, healthier or lose weight but feels overwhelmed with where to start or like me and always has good intentions but fails to set clear goals focus and fails to reach their long term goals. This guide will really help you focus on what is really important to you, helping you to be more positive in your mindset towards what you hope to achieve.
This workbook has inspired me to really think about why I never get to grips with my weight and the goals I think I want to achieve.
