August …A Could-do list

We are a couple weeks into the school holidays and it’s the start of a new month once again. Month eight of twelve …….. how did that happen ?? So it’s time to start thinking about things we’d like to do for the month of August. I started my could-do list a couple of months ago with inspiration from The Simple Things Magazine . If your not sure what a could-do list is you can check out my May and July could- do lists here

It’s a great way to take some time out and think of a few things you would like to do for the next month. This month sees the second week of the school holidays and the top priority is trying to keep the kids entertained but with the weather proving to be pretty miserable its tough, I really hope it starts to improve and we get to enjoy a bit of sunshine.

So here’s my could-do list for August

We are continuing to enjoying the slower pace of life with no school runs and fewer clubs to attend its so nice to not have to rush around as much. So my could-do list for August is based just on that, A slower pace of life.

Breath in the sea air

Read a book

Leave the housework for another day

Baking days

Play with the kids

Plan my travel journal ready for my holiday

Listen to music

Update date my photography skills

What do you have planned for the month of August do you have children who are off school ? do you enjoy the slower pace of life this time of year ?? Could you start a could-do list and enjoy the little things just a little bit more ??

Until next time

Caroline X

Love this concept – and especially that you have ‘leave the housework’ on there!!! We have a busy month ahead, but this has inspired me to find a little bit of time for me too. I’m desperate to go and get my nails done – perfect for summer and I love that it forces me to relax! So I’m going to add that to my list! x

Leaving the housework for another day – now I like the sound of that! I’m trying to do more reading at the moment, and when I get home from France I’d really like to do some baking too. Great inspiration as always Caroline x

I love this idea. Sometimes we just need to remind ourselves about the simple things we could do that would give us happiness and somehow writing it down affirms that instead of it being a fleeting thought and lost in the chaos of life. Thanks for sharing
