A new month, Pancake day and World book day {March 2017} #Littleloves

Its March how did that happen ?? I’m so ready for Spring and it brings a change in season and a chance to get outdoors a little more.

Thursday 2nd March was World Book Day. The kids dressed up as their favourite book character to celebrate the event. It’s always a little stressful sorting out costumes and I’m not the biggest fan of shop bought ones although over the years we have used them. This year the kids school asked that the children try and dress up as a character from a book or by the same author they have studied at school. William is studying Harry Potter at the moment so he wanted to go as something from that but unsure as to what. We eventually came up with Hagrid by using an old beard and wig my husband had from a teen wolf Halloween costume teamed with an old shirt and belt I think he looked pretty good. Ruby decided to go as Mrs Hogget from The Sheep Pig, again using clothes and accessories we already had. A flowery skirt a cotton blouse and an apron to finish the look as the farmers wife.

Walking dead is back and although quite slow for the first couple of episodes it picked up again this week. Is anyone else watching? What do you think to this season ??

Jane McDonald cruise programme friday night channel 5 at 8pm is another favourite at the moment and tonight is the last episode. It’s been great seeing the different places she has been too and some of the ships look amazing.

It’s making me excited for our cruise in September.

Pancakes of course Tuesday was Pancake day and although we do love a good old pancake all year round, you’ve probably seen our Sunday morning instagram usually features Pancakes somewhere along the line. Although I’ve got to admit I didn’t have any on Tuesday as I worked late but my Mum made them for the kids.

I’ve not bought anything or wore anything exciting this week it’s been mostly uniform and pajamas if I’m honest. The shops are really starting to get Spring and Summer clothes in now though so I’m hoping to have a little holiday shopping spree very soon and after my big clear out last weekend my wardrobe is pretty empty. *big sigh*

We had Ruby’s parents evening and despite the fact that she says she doesn’t like school this is not what they see at school. The teacher was shocked to hear she says she doesn’t like school, He said she is a very happy little girl who is well behaved always happy and smiling and is doing well above what she needs to for her age. We are super proud of her and lovely to hear such wonderful comments.

And Lastly…..

I hope you’ve all had a great week and have a wonderful weekend whatever you’re doing. We are hoping to have a trip to seaside this weekend and blow off a few cobwebs.

Until next time

Caroline X

I love Walking Dead generally but have struggled to get back into it since it returned in February – it just doesn’t seem as good as normal! I’m hoping it’s a blip.

Fab Hagrid outfit and no wonder you were so proud at parents’ evening 🙂
