International Womens day, Ballerina and Parents evening #Littleloves {10th March 2017}

Spring has officially sprung this week in Yorkshire and it has felt like we are finally saying goodbye to Winter. I just hope it continues for the weekend.

I’ve not read any actual books this week but I have been flicking through my Simple things magazine. I really live the variety of this magazine with a little bit of everything. It really brings a sense of calm to my day.

Last weekend we planned a day at the beach which didn’t end up happening due to the only rainy day when we actually wanted to get out. So we opted for the cinema instead. We went to see Ballerina I wasn’t sure what it was going to be like but Ruby had asked if we could go see it for a while. It’s a great film and even the boys enjoyed it.

This week was International Women’s day. Its a chancr to celebrate the women in our lives and also fight for other women who still don’t have the same choices as we do. I love how our little blogging community and how we are passionate for each others gains and achievement’s and support each other through it all. Life is not a competition and we all need to look after each other not bring each other down. It’s made me sit and reflect on things I want to teach and learn and show my daughter as she grows up but also how thankful I am for the empowering women in my life. Especially my beautiful Mum who has been my greatest role model and helped shape me into the women I am today.

I haven’t made anything special this week just the usually everyday meals. We do get into a bit of a rut sometimes with meals and lose inspiration. Do you plan your meals ? How do you pick what you are going to eat for the week ? I’d love to know as it’s a never ending headache in our house.

I still haven’t bought anything new for spring but have my eye on a few pieces from New look. I think I need to bite the bullet and just go get them. Hopefully I’ll have something to show you next week.

And Lastly

Last week was Ruby’s parents evening and this week Williams. He is doing so well and the teacher is so pleased with his progress, attitude and enthusiasm in class. He said he is a pleasure to teach and is a great pupil to have in the class. We are pleased with both their parents evenings, they are such great kids and we are so proud of them both.

Thankyou for reading and hope you all have a great weekend.

Until next time

    Another lovely week and yay to a fab parent’s evening. I think International Women’s Day is so important but I was surprised by the number of people who asked if we still needed it! YES WE DO!
