I am so pleased that I have managed to keep on top of the #Littleloves linky I promised myself at the beginning of January to keep it up each week, looking back over the week is great to do. All this month I have started this post saying how quick the weeks are flying by, I am going to say it allover again today as its the last littleloves for January and next week we are into February. Wow its going so quick but at least the days are getting a little longer and a little lighter which I’m welcoming. This week as been a pretty normal week I’m afraid we’ve not done anything too exciting but it’s still nice to look back on.
So this week’s littleloves
I finally managed to pick up a copy of this book I really cant wait to start reading it, I’ve had a quick flick through the book, its a very funny and honest book of parenting.
From Pregnancy to starting school, Hurrah for gin takes you through the exciting,
Frustrating and wonderful whirlwind of parenthood,
offering solidarity and a friendly hug after a tough day
I can’t wait to start reading it properly.
We watched The Undateables this week for the first time and I loved it, it is a very heart warming programme and makes you realise that love is there for everyone to take and enjoy.
We also watched the National Television awards this week, I loved the fact that the little kids they had on were so excited to see Mary Berry, Out of all the celebrities and guests at the awards the one person they wanted to meet was Mary. I would have been the same to be honest although I love Ant and Dec too. Another tv duo I love are Holly and Phil from This Morning and was pleased that they won an award again for The best live Magazine Show. Phil and holly make such great tv together and the pair are my favourite day time tv duo.
Have you heard about the new Scandinavian trend set to take over 2017, move over Hygge its time for Lagom. Read my blog post here about the Scandinavian concept of living a balanced life. The Swedish word Translates as Just the right amount and is the Scandinavian concept of living a balance life. I’m not ready to give up hygge and the cosiness it brings just yet but I’m also welcoming Lagom into our lives. I plan to post a little more on the subject of balance, everything in moderation and the general Scandinavian way of life. Well they are said to be the happiest people in the world so I’m sure we could all learn a thing or two from them. So keep a look out for more on this.
This week we have been enjoying lots of yummy meals from the Joe Wicks Lean in 15 books, they are super quick and easy recipes and healthy too. I am really trying to keep to this healthy eating and loose a few pounds for our holiday in September. I hopefully will get round to sharing a little more on how I plan meals, budget and shop each week.
We all got togged up in our hats scarfs and gloves Sunday and visited Castleton a Derbyshire village not too far from were we live. The kids were super excited as it started to snow as we arrived. They have been longing for snow for the past month and were super excited to see snow falling as we drove into the village. Its wasn’t a lot really and only a light covering but they loved it never the less. It was a very cold day but was nice to get out in the fresh air and enjoy a lovely walk round the village.
I’ve mentioned next week is February and the start of another month. February is the month of love and wheather you love or loath Valentines day it is still nice to think about the people we love, it doesn’t have to be a partner, husband or lover it can be just thinking about anyone in our lives we love.
Here to a great month.
Until next time
