Paris for One, baking days and a glimpse of Spring #Littleloves

Well it’s the last #littleloves for February and this week we has been about enjoying half term, Paris for one and a glimpse of spring. Hopefully next month we can welcome the lighter days and hopefully start to see the change in season. Yes next month is March and we put the clocks forward. I love it when we get a little more light in the evenings and we feel we can enjoy the extra time. Its like a long awaited extention of the day,  instead of getting home and hibernating in our pj’s.

So here are this weeks #littleloves.

Read

This week my mum lent me another couple of Jojo Moyes books. The book has lots of short stories in which is great if your like me and you dont have a lot of time to read. Sometimes I find I struggle to get into books because I don’t get to read a big chunk of the book in one go. So this is a great for anyone who looses interest because of the big gaps in reading. I’ve choose to read Paris for one and so far so good, I only started it last night but already looks like it’s going to be a great read and comes highly recommended by my mum. Hopefully I can sit down tonight and finish it’s.

Watched

This week was the brit awards and I have to say I’ve not really watched it for a few years but we decided we would watch and we actually really enjoyed it. They did a great tribute to the late George Michael who I absolutely loved. Growing up in the 80s with two older teenage sisters it was all about George.

Made

We had a baking day and made buns. Vanilla cupcakes and White chocolate frosting. If you follow me on instagram you might have seen my insta stories of making them. They were very yummy and Ruby had great time baking while William was at his friends. I will get the recipe on my blog at some point if any one fancies making them.

Wore

The week  started off very nice with a bit of sunshine and just a glimpse of spring in sight. We had a lovely  family walk and enjoyed getting outdoors. I was starting to think I could ditch the boots for something a little less wintery, but then Storm Doris made an appearance yesterday so it was back to raincoats hats and boots. It’s been extremely windy and a little scary at times with lots of rain but hopefully we’ve seen the back of that now and can get back to welcoming Spring.

Heard

Next week is world book day. The kids really need to decide what they are going to dress up as.

And Lastly……

We have had a great week and next week week we see the start of March and hopefully the weather is set to improve and we can enjoy the start of a new month and a new season.

Have a great weekend and until next time

Caroline X

I read Paris for One this week too, probably my favourite story out of all of them. Was nice to read a few short stories though for a change as I’m usually all about massively long books. I can’t wait for March now either – roll on Spring! Have a great week x

I do love a JoJo Moyes – I will have to hunt this one down. I feel your pain with the World Book Day, as you know! Cupcakes look scrummy – everyone loves a baking day (except the person clearing up ;)). xx
