A Could – Do List for February 2018

Finally we can see the light at the end of the tunnel, the nights seem to be getting a little lighter, although the morning sunrise is still just before eight Spring is finally in my thoughts.

I can begin to see the end of Winter and slowly I feel like I want to come out from under my wool blanket and the hibernation I love so much. Yes I do love the cosy feeling Winter brings, snuggled on the sofa with a big mug of tea and candles lit all around the house -much to my husbands dismay. But I now long for a little more daylight, my skin is beginning to look dull and I look forward to a little glipse of Spring.

Yes it’s still Winter, but in between the cold wet days I want to start planning for the change in season and enjoy the slow move from Winter to Spring we can see all around us.

Drink all the Tea

Take time out to Read

Eat lot’s of Pancakes (celebrating  on Tuesday 13th February)

Take a breath

Step back and be grateful

Make time for loved ones

Walk more outdoors

Photograph life

Love yourself just a little more

A could-do list is a very personal list you create just for yourself, it’s not another to do list of jobs you must get done, but a gentle reminder of ways you can slow down life. I’ve been writing mine for a few months now and it really helps me focus on the little things, without the pressure of failing.

Yes life is busy, I am not pretending otherwise but we need to remind ourselves that we are important too. Take a breath and slow it down just a little, really try to enjoy life one day at a time.

Maybe try writing your own could-do list this month and see how you get on, creating gentle reminders for the month ahead.

I really hope it helps you create simple steps to a simple life.

    Oh I do love this Caroline. Just reading it made me feel calmer and breathe a little deeper. Which is no mean feat when you’ve an arm stuck under a recovering child who has been ill all week. So thanks for the gentke reminder lovely xx

    I so agree with your list Caroline. It’s so important to slow down and love ourselves a bit more. I’m very guilty of not taking time out. This post has inspired me and tonight I’m going to treat myself to some pampering 🙂

    I just love this idea. I’m quite good at making to do lists, but then beat myself up if I don’t do all of them. A could do list and focusing on self care is just what we all need. I’m going to try and pamper my feet a bit this month, they are so dry and cracked at the moment! Then I’d quite like to make it out to a movie with the hubby and do some crafty things too. I forgot about pancake day – I’ll look forward to that too! xx
