A Could-do list for November

Every month I wait for The Simple Things Magazine to drop through my door and flick just a few pages in to see the could-do list, a monthly list of could dos not much dos.

The Simple Things magazine takes the rush out of life for me and each month I wait for it to arrive through the door so I can sit quietly and enjoy reading it with a big mug of tea and snuggly blanket. It then inspires me to think about writing my could-do list for the month ahead. This magazine has so many great articles and ideas and if you like the idea of slowing down this crazy busy life we live this magazine does just that.

Well October came and went so quickly and I must say I did tick off quite a few from my could-do list for October , I am now looking to November to the end of Autumn and the changes that brings. November for me is all about enjoying the calm before it all goes crazy busy for Christmas.

Last weekend we changed the clocks, so that means less daylight hours as we start to see the days get shorter. I must admit I actually like the darker nights and enjoy shutting the world out, there is nothing better after a busy day than enjoying time at home. Come January I’m sure I’ll be longing for just a little more daylight and looking to see the end of the winter months, but for now I’m enjoying the change it brings.

So what could I do this month….

Enjoy a mulled wine

Wrap up warm and take a walk outdoors

Cook for the season and keep the winter colds at bay

Light candles in the morning not just in the evening

Read more watch less

Slow down sit quietly and do one thing at a time

Enjoy a new movie

Visit a bonfire

Have you ever tryed writing a could-do list ?

Why not give it a go this month, I’d love to hear how you get on. Please comment below or on my Instagram  feed and share your own could-do ideas.

Enjoy November whatever you do.

Until next time

Ooh yes, mulled wine, I’m going to add that to my list! I’m also looking forward to Bonfire Night – our first as a family. For me, I also want to remember to do one thing at a time. My to do list seems so long at the moment, I need to accept I can’t to it all at once and just prioritise. I think it makes life much simpler. x
