Easy like Sunday morning

We are a couple of weeks into the school holidays now and the kids are enjoying being off school. The lazy mornings the easy days are just what we were all ready for after a busy school year. The school days and weeks just seem to roll round so quick and everything turns into a blurr …..we were all ready for a little bit of nothingness and a lot less strict routine. We needed to jump off the hamster wheel just for a little while. I’m still working through the holidays but I only work part time so it’s a lot less pressure to get everything sorted for school each day. It doesn’t matter if the kids are not in bed by a certain time, there’s no nagging about getting homework finished and there is just a little sense of calm in the house from not rushing round all the time (Albeit a little arguing from the kids)

Sunday’s are definitely my favourite day of the week. It’s pretty much the only morning that we don’t have anywhere to be are anywhere to go. It’s all about drinking tea, eating pancakes for breakfast, lazy mornings in bed and enjoying a scummy Sunday dinner while relaxing with a glass of vino or two.

Sundays for us are all about spending time with family and just enjoying our time together. It’s a chance to look back on the previous week and think about what we’ve been up to, the places we’ve been and things we’ve enjoyed. Its a chance to look to the week ahead and what we have planned.

I would love to hear how everyone else spends their Sunday? Is it a day of rest or a day of dread for you and your family? I would love to hear what everyone else gets up to on a Sunday ?

until next time

we’re usually pretty busy on Saturdays, so Sunday is about relaxing around the house, getting some cleaning and laundry done, and getting ready for the upcoming week. If it’s a travel week for me, I try to prep a bunch of healthy snacks on Sunday night, some to take with me, the rest for the hubs to snack on during the week so he doesn’t eat junk food all week.
