Another week and another Littleloves entry with the lovely Morgana, I love this linky so much and is my favourite linky to join each week, but why ? I think its so important to appreciate the little things in life even when life’s not always going to plan, seek the positive in everyday and this linky is a gently reminder to do just that. So grab a cuppa, have a read and find out what I’ve been loving this week.
This week my monthly copy of The Simple Things magazine dropped through our door. This magazine is my favourite and every month I look forward to it arriving. I’ve loved flicking through the pages reading the monthly could-do list which is always the first page I look at and think about my own could-do list for the month ahead. If you are unsure what a could-do list is you can check mine out here
Another magazine to be delivered this week was Teen Breathe, this magazine believes mindfulness forms helping tweens/ teens live a happier, healthier, more fulfilled life. From social media to sport and making friends to making flowers, the magazine has tips, exercises and ideas to help them explore how paying attention to everything they do, being curious and staying positive can bring out the very best of them– a person who’s comfortable and proud in their own skin. Growing up is tough with lots of unanswered question I thought this magazine would be perfect for my daughter, so I ordered her a copy last month and she loved it. I’d definately recommend it for 10 plus age group. Then when I saw this month they had published a boys version of the magazine as a one off special addition I ordered a copy for William my 11 year old to see what he thought of it.
So far so good and he has been reading it, but you know what boys are like he hasn’t let much away in terms of what he’s read but lets hope they decide to publish this boys addition more regularly. I think there is definitely a gap in market for this sort of magazine for both boys and girls.
Yesterday we attended a Bloggers event at the Sheffield Lyceum for the Shrek The Musical. The show was absolutely brilliant and the kids loved it. William especially loved the fact that he got the adult homour that went over the little ones heads. The cast and production were fantastic so if you get chance to go see the show I’d highly recommend it. Full blog review coming soon.
I haven’t made anything special as such but I did make a start on the old Spring cleaning. I completed gutted, cleaned and cleared out Rubys bedroom, two bags of rubbish later and a big box of things to take to the charity shop and the room is done. I dont know about you, but I love a good clear out and declutter, I just need to make a start on every other room in the house now.
One minute I’m leaving the house with a light jacket and bare ankles the next I’m wearing boots and a winter coat. The weather is still so changable at the moment and I’ve just seen there is the chance of snow again on Monday. I’m longing for sandles and painted toenails but I dont think there is much chance of that yet just yet.
Also this week I wore my green stripy shirt, its taken me awhile to decide if I liked this shirt I was unsure if it looked like a pajama top, but after wearing it a few times I really do like it now, so I’m so glad I didnt take it back.
I’m continuing to listen to my audible app and still loving Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine, its taking a bit longer to finish than I thought with the kids being off school but I’m still loving it. I think I might have to buy the book to read too.
Also I know this is a little sad but when I saw that Dawsons Creek have had a reunion for a magazine interview with Entertainment weekly magazine I was beyond excited!! I mean Dawsons Creek!! I absolutely loved this programme growing up and the whole Joey, Pacy, Dawson love triangle. The whole cast look incredibly in the photo shoot and I can’t wait to read the full article.
We have a busy weekend planned with a visit to the seaside tomorrow to blow off the cobwebs and then Sunday we are all getting together for a big family Easter lunch at my Mums. My parents were away for Christmas so they doing a big turkey dinner for us all which I’m really looking forward to.
