Children in need ~Enterprise Day

This week we saw the return of enterprise day at the kids school. Each year the school puts on an Enterprise day where the children are put into groups in order to plan and raise money for children in need.

Ruby decided she wanted to make hot chocolate cones and marshmallows to sell.

Off to Lakeland I went to grab some children in need pudsey themed bags for the chocolate and marshmallow’s.

We used pudsey clear bags to create the cones filled them with hot chocolate and topped with marshmallow’s. We then added hot chocolate tags and secured with silver ribbon.

These were really easy to make and could also be made in clear or coloured bags to give out as little Christmas gifts to teachers neighbours or even school friends.

I will also be adding these to the kids Christmas eve boxes (a tradition we do every year) …keep a look out for more on that.

The aim of the day is to have fun, whilst also learning how to be little entrepreneurs.

William is providing  refreshments of juice and selling duplicate pokemon cards as part of his group.

Im sure they will have a great day and I look forward to hearing how much money they raised for Children in need.

Hope you enjoyed reading

Until next time

An enterprise day is a really good idea, better than the usual bring £1 to school and dress up type of thing, it really gets the children thinking about how to raise money. I hope both do really well.

This is such a great idea! It’s so good kids start this early to develop entrepreneurship skills. Plus it sounds like something quite delicious. We’ll give it a try at home!
