This weekend we visited Meadowhall to say our final farewell to the Elephants from The Herd of Sheffield.

The event was held 14th – 16th October 2016
The Farewell Weekend was your last chance to say a last goodbye to all 58 large elephant sculptures as they gathered in one place before their final send-off for auction.

Herd of Sheffield Auction – 20th October 2016
The large elephant sculptures will then be auctioned off to raise vital funds for Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

We have enjoyed a few outings over the the summer searching for the elephants it has been a great event and lots of fun for the whole family, the kids have loved it.

So when we heard that all the Elephants were going to be at Meadowhall for one last time we decided to book onto the event and go take a look.

Although a very wet Sunday morning the kids were still in good spirits and excited about seeing the Elephants again. There was a few Elephants we hadn’t managed to find on our search over the summer so they wanted to get pictures of those.

The weather was pretty shocking so trying to get decent pictures was pretty difficult,  but we still managed to capture a few.

Although a little wet by the end we still thoroughly enjoyed the event.

So farewell herd of Sheffield and we wish you well.
