My parents were visiting my sister for Christmas who lives in Germany so we didnt see them on Christmas Day so once they are back they invited us all round to celebrate Christmas Day again with them. I cooked Christmas dinner this year for my husbands Mum and Step-Dad so it was lovely to have another dinner cooked for me. Plus there is nothing like your Mum’s Christmas dinner is there ?? Washing it down with a few glasses of wine and yummy desserts we were all ready to chill on the sofa while the kids played a few games they had received Christmas day. We had a lovely day eating drinking and enjoying each others company.
It was then time for a reality check and remember it was indeed January and not Christmas day and we needed to get the kids home ready for school and us for work the next day. It was lovely while it lasted and we had a lovely day celebrating Christmas with the family.
It is the first time I have linked up with Clare for the Home Life Project. But having just received an Olympus camera for my Birthday I’m keen to get to grips with my photography and I want to learn more and more. I love taking pictures of my family and our lives. Capturing moments and memories to treasure. Taking photographs of our weekend will definitely be something I do more of and will be joining in with each month. The best pictures are always the ones taken where the person or people you are taking are unaware of it. The theme for this month was night time window and have I tried to get the night window into the pictures and enjoyed playing about editing as it wasnt actually night time when i took the photograph. I’m still learning and getting to grips with the camera and need a lot more practice. I have throughly enjoyed capturing our Christmas dinner in January. I hope I can learn more as the months go by and it will be nice to look back. See you next month for more Home Life Project.
Until next time
